Woodleigh Manor celebrates latest CQC report

We're celebrating some wonderful news: Woodleigh Manor has been rated Good overall by the CQC, with a perfect 100 out of 100 score for caring.
Following an assessment published on 29 May 2026, our Hessle home was rated Good across the board, with an Outstanding rating for caring. It's the kind of result that means a great deal, because it's a direct reflection of the warmth, patience and dedication our team brings to work every single day.
Inspectors spent time with us earlier in the year, getting to know the people who live at Woodleigh Manor and the staff who care for them, many of whom are living with advanced dementia or complex needs. What they found was a team who genuinely know and love the people in their care, not just their routines, but their stories, their families and what makes them smile.
Inspectors saw staff treating every resident with real dignity, taking the time to meet each person exactly where they are. Our team knows residents' life histories, their former careers, their relationships, and they use that knowledge to bring comfort and joy every day. One resident was even supported to take on a meaningful role in the home, contract and wages included!
Low staff turnover means our team can get to know people deeply and support them with real continuity. Health professionals shared that Woodleigh Manor is often the home willing to step in when other placements haven't worked out, something we're very proud of.
