OUR CARE
The Right Care, at the Right Time
OUR APPROACH
A Personalised Approach to Care
Across our homes, we build support around daily routines, personal preferences, and a sense of familiarity. We review care plans regularly and adapt them gradually, helping people feel settled and secure as their circumstances change.
We keep families involved throughout all decisions through clear, honest communication.
Whether your loved ones need a specialist dementia care home or a safe place for temporary support, we are here to help.
Residential Care
Residential care at Curo is designed for people who can no longer manage safely at home but still want to live as independently as possible. Residents have their own room, their own space, and as much choice as we can offer in how each day unfolds.
We help with daily routines like washing, dressing and taking medication. But we also pay attention to the little details that make life feel normal - the time someone likes their tea, the chair they prefer by the window, the story they enjoy telling again and again. This is their home, and we work hard to make sure it feels like it.
The atmosphere is calm and warm. There's structure, but no one is rushed. Our teams are tuned into how people are feeling, not just what they need. That awareness allows us to adapt care as needs change and helps residents feel truly seen.
Nursing Care
In homes that offer nursing care, residents are supported by qualified nurses as well as care staff. This means we can care for people with more complex or ongoing health conditions in a safe and reassuring environment. Our nursing homes provide a professional yet homely setting for elderly care, where medical needs are met alongside emotional wellbeing.
Whether someone is living with long-term illness, recovering from hospital treatment or reaching the final stages of life, our nursing teams provide round-the-clock clinical support with a calm, steady presence. We monitor health closely, communicate with healthcare partners, and focus on keeping each person well and comfortable.
But nursing care at Curo isn’t only about medicine or monitoring. It’s about listening carefully, noticing changes, and adapting with empathy.
Dementia Care
When someone is living with dementia, the right environment makes all the difference. At Curo, we create dementia care homes that feel safe and familiar, with teams who understand how to support memory and maintain dignity. Our homes are designed to support individuals through every stage, with specialist dementia care rooted in respect.
Dementia affects everyone differently. That’s why we take time to understand who each person is and what brings comfort. Some find peace in music, others in routine or quiet companionship. Our staff are trained to respond with patience, consistency and respect, always.
We don’t try to pull people into our version of reality. Instead, we meet them where they are, with understanding and kindness. Many families looking for elderly dementia care have found peace of mind in our approach.
Respite Care
Caring for someone full-time is a true act of selflessness, but it can become difficult when circumstances change. Our respite care gives families time to rest and recover or focus on other parts of life, knowing their loved one is safe and well looked after. Short-term stays on a regular basis can offer both relief and continuity of care.
Respite stays can last a few days or several weeks. Some people come regularly and others come once. We offer the same level of attention and warmth whether someone is staying briefly or long-term. Their routines and individual needs are respected from the moment they arrive.
Respite can also be a gentle way to try care for the first time. Sometimes a short stay gives people the confidence to make a more permanent move, when they’re ready.
Twenty-Four-Hour Care
Every Curo home is staffed around the clock. That doesn’t just mean someone is available in an emergency. It means there’s always a calm, capable person on hand to help, no matter the hour. This kind of continuous support is what makes our nursing care homes and residential homes the right place for your loved one.
Day or night, residents can call for support and know someone will respond with patience and kindness. That sense of security matters - not just to our residents, but to their families too.
We work in stable teams, so faces become familiar and relationships can grow. And because we don’t rely on rotating agency staff, our care is personalised and built on real trust.
Adult Day Care
Adult day care can be a lifeline for families who are caring for someone at home but need a little help during the day. Whether for a morning, an afternoon, or the whole day, we offer a calm, friendly space where older adults can feel secure and supported.
Care is personal and flexible. Some people join us for conversation and companionship. Others benefit from help with mobility, personal care, or a reassuring daily routine. Each person is met with warmth and respect, and staff take time to understand what brings comfort and meaning.
For families, it’s not just practical support. It’s the chance to rest, work, or manage other responsibilities while knowing their loved one is somewhere they’re truly cared for. And for the person attending, it’s an opportunity to enjoy new surroundings and connect with others in a way that feels natural and unhurried.
ADAPTIVE SUPPORT
Care That Changes With You
The ‘right care’ is an evolving conversation. People's needs change, and the support they receive should change with them.
But care isn’t just about support - it’s about quality of life. Comfort, connection and a sense of meaning matter just as much. That could be keeping up a favourite hobby, sharing a laugh over lunch, or finding peace in a quiet corner of the garden.
We shape our homes around the people who live there, not the other way around. Each day includes small choices, familiar routines and the space to enjoy moments that feel like their own.
