Care & Medical Support

•     How are care plans created and updated?

•     How is medication managed and monitored?

•     Is there access to GP visits, physiotherapy, podiatry, or other specialists?

Staffing

•     What is the staff-to-resident ratio (day and night)?

•     Are staff trained in dementia care or specialist needs?

•     How are staff vetted and background-checked?

Safety & Regulation

•     Are safeguarding policies in place?

•     How do you prevent falls and accidents?

•     Are rooms fitted with call bells and safety equipment?

Accommodation & Facilities

•     Can residents bring personal belongings or furniture?

•     Are bathrooms en-suite?

•     Is there Wi-Fi and access to phones / TV?

Daily Life & Activities

•     What activities are offered daily or weekly?

•     How are birthdays and special occasions celebrated?

•     Is there religious or spiritual support available?

Food & Nutrition

•     Can you see a sample menu?

•     Can residents choose when and where to eat?

•     Are snacks and drinks available anytime?

Costs & Contracts

•     What is included in the weekly fee?

•     Are there additional charges (hairdressing, trips, toiletries)?

•     How often do fees increase?

Family Involvement

•     What are the visiting hours?

•     Can family join for meals or activities?

•     How are families updated about changes in health?
