It's official: Delaheys rated GOOD across the board by the CQC!

We've got some wonderful news to share and we couldn't wait to shout about it! Following its latest inspection on 9 March 2026, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated Delaheys Nursing Home Good overall, with a "Good" score in every single one of the five areas inspectors look at. Five for five! The full report landed on 20 May 2026, and honestly, it's a joy to read.

A huge well done to our incredible team

This one's for our staff. Every kind word, every extra minute spent making someone smile, every bit of patience and care shown on even the busiest days — it all added up to this. Inspectors saw exactly what our residents and families already know: that people here are treated with real warmth and respect, that their privacy and dignity are protected, and that staff know and honour their individual preferences and wishes.

Residents told inspectors they feel safe, with someone always on hand to help. Families described the home as well-staffed by a team they trust, knowledgeable, well trained, and genuinely caring. That's about the best compliment a care home team could ask for, and we couldn't be prouder of everyone who makes Delaheys what it is.

Why this matters

A "Good" rating isn't handed out lightly, and it's certainly not a box-ticking exercise. CQC inspectors spend real time at the home; talking with residents, listening to families, and getting a genuine feel for daily life here. So when the result comes back "Good" across Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led, it's a real, independent seal of approval on the care being delivered every single day.

A home worth celebrating
