Celebrations at Delaheys: A Birthday, An Anniversary and Unsung Heroes

Photo taken at Delaheys

We've had some lovely reasons to celebrate at Delaheys over the past two weeks, and we couldn't wait to share them with you.

Happy 91st Birthday!

We made a little fuss of a very special lady as she reached her 91st birthday. She brings something truly special to Delaheys, and it was lovely to see her surrounded by smiles, birthday wishes and plenty of love. A big thank you to one of our wonderful care staff, whose beautiful photographs captured her personality and those precious moments perfectly. We feel very lucky to have such a gem as part of our Delaheys family.

50 Wonderful Years

We were also delighted to celebrate a very special 50th wedding anniversary. Residents and staff came together to raise a glass to the happy couple, in a moment filled with smiles, laughter and warm wishes for many more happy memories together.

National Housekeeping Week: Thank You, Alison

For National Housekeeping Week, we wanted to shine a light on our wonderful Housekeeper, Alison. She does so much more than keep Delaheys clean and welcoming. She takes time to chat with residents, share a laugh and offer a listening ear, which can mean so much to someone feeling lonely or in need of company.

Alison is also our End of Life Champion, supporting residents and their families with real compassion during the most difficult moments. She even knits little teddies and hearts for residents at the end of their lives, creating keepsakes that families can treasure.

Thank you, Alison, for the kindness you bring to Delaheys every day. You may work behind the scenes, but you're right at the heart of our home.

With love from everyone at Delaheys
