Welcome to Marple Lodge

Marple Lodge is a small, friendly home in a quiet part of Marple, near open fields and the historic canal. It supports up to 20 residents with residential and dementia care. The home has a comfortable, lived-in feel and is known for its welcoming, down-to-earth atmosphere.

The team works closely with residents to understand what feels meaningful to them. Whether it’s enjoying music, talking about the past, or spending time outdoors, the goal is always to support wellbeing in a way that feels natural.

Food and Mealtimes

Our kitchen team prepares fresh meals each day using simple, quality ingredients. There’s flexibility to eat in the dining room or in a resident’s room, depending on how they feel that day.

We cater for all dietary needs and take care to present meals in a way that’s appetising and dignified. Mealtimes are calm, sociable and shaped around individual routines.

James Bamford

Home Manager

Marple Lodge is led by James Bamford, who brings a calm, thoughtful approach to running the home. He is known for being approachable and responsive and works closely with both staff and families to create a settled, supportive atmosphere where residents feel genuinely cared for.
