Tucked along the Cumbrian coast in the peaceful village of Skinburness, Chichester Hall is a small, thoughtfully designed care home with room for just 18 residents.

The setting is tranquil, with wide sea views and fresh coastal air that gently shape daily life. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, with a homely feel that helps people settle in quickly.

Life at Chichester Hall

We offer residential and dementia care, along with short stay respite placements. Every resident has their own en-suite room, which they’re welcome to personalise with familiar things from home.

Days are calm and unhurried, with home-cooked meals, meaningful activities and plenty of time to rest or connect with others.

Our team is small and consistent, which means they really get to know the people they support. From daily routines to lifelong stories, they understand what matters to each individual.

For families, this brings peace of mind. For residents, it means care that feels natural and personal.

Residents can eat in the dining room, with others, or in their own space if they prefer. Special occasions are marked with care — birthdays, holidays and other milestones all matter.

Home Manager

Chichester Hall is led by Louise Jackson, who brings warmth, experience and a deep understanding of person-centred care. Louise is closely involved in the day-to-day running of the home and gets to know every resident and their family. She believes the best care comes from strong relationships and a calm, respectful atmosphere.
